Sárvár Arboretum

Which is not only a sight to see, but also an excellent sports and relaxation spot. Many vacationers start their day here with Nordic walking and jogging. But there are those who do yoga or hug a few trees while taking a forest bath. Others simply have a picnic in one of the groves.

Boating Lake

Which is also a great sports venue. Also a very romantic spot in the city. Ideal for an evening walk. But there are plenty of program options here during the day. For example, in addition to traditional boats and pedal boats, we can rent water dodgems and even electric boats that offer a unique experience in Hungary.

Adventure Park

Before or after swimming… If you would like to test your courage and love experiences close to nature, you will like the adventure park. A 120-position forest rope course leads between the trees. But there is also a climbing wall in the park, you can try archery and children can also pan for “gold” here.

Downtown Sárvár

Specifically, the fountains of Kossuth Square and Post Square. Where in the evenings, sound and light shows entertain visitors.

Bank of the Rába River

Those who want a more serious tour can also find relaxation opportunities in the green surroundings of the city. We can even go on a bicycle trip along the Rába river on the outskirts of Sárvár. Or we can go cross-country running or Nordic walking.

City train - SIHU

In addition to showing the sights of Sárvár from a unique perspective, the SIHU is also an excellent means of transportation. It can even be used as a means of public transportation during the holiday. Almost all the most frequented places in the city can be reached with its help.

Excursions nearby

Pannónia-Ring - Ostffyasszonyfa

The Pannónia Ring is located 8 km from Sárvár, which is one of the best, most technical and safest race tracks in Hungary, and perhaps even in Europe. Every year from spring to autumn, numerous motorcycle and car races are held. It is always free for spectators.

Szombathely

Szombathely is located at the foot of the Alps, on the western edge of Pannonia. It was founded by the Roman Emperor Claudius in 43 AD under the name Colonia Claudia Savaria. The city developed rapidly along the Amber trade route, and Savaria soon became the center of the emperor’s cult in Upper Pannonia and the province.

It has an extremely rich historical and cultural tradition. The city hosts a number of festivals.

Kőszeg

Kőszeg is a settlement with a subalpine climate at the foot of the Alps. In recent decades, it has become famous not only for its extremely rich historical traditions and its historical buildings preserved in almost intact condition, but also for its honor boxes, which are perhaps unique in Hungary. The goods placed on the streets and left unattended also prove that public safety in Kőszeg is good, and the people are reliable and hospitable.

Ság-hegy, Celldömölk

The remains of the most spectacular volcanic mountain in the area can be found next to the settlement of Celldömölk, which is only 19 km from Sárvár. The volcano that created the 279-meter-high Ság-hegy erupted about 5 million years ago. Today, visitors can learn about the geological events on an educational trail. On the steeper slopes of the double truncated cone of Ság Mountain, which rises from the plain, volcanic tuff scattered from craters, lava benches and vents on vertical rock walls can be studied. A nature trail guides you into the world of rocks and geological events. The most spectacular part is the lava plug filling the interior of the central crater.
